We always appreciate a person that doesn’t say ‘why’, but says ‘why not’. Was it to prove to yourself that you can do it? Was it for fun only? Or was it something else?
We do not know, but this guy has started from scratch and built a WORKING Harley Davidson scale engine. Its size is something around 40%, or 2/5ths if you will of the full size.
As he states, most of the parts he used are purchases from E-bay, but they Harley repair manual has also done a small part when he did the oil system.
He also states that the ignition is in a solid state, and that the engine is big enough to produce that loveable V-twin sound.
The full specs, taken from the video below are as follows:
V-Twin Panhead,Ignition: Spark.;Bore: 1 5/16 in.;Stroke: 1 1/2 in.;Two Cylinder Four Cycle;No Castings Used
As we can see, a lot of people are amazed by this creation and are willing to pay good money for this “fun-sized” engine. Would you put this engine in a bike and give it a go? Tell us your ideas in the comments below.
